Did dreams delay your rest?
I often hear people complain that they have had dreams all night long and have many dreams at night without a good rest all night, so they can't fall asleep. So was it really a dream that delayed your rest? Is dreaming a sign that the brain has not rested or is not resting well? This concept is wrong. Dreaming and being able to recall dreams is not an indicator of poor sleep, nor can it be said that having a dream means that you have not slept well. In fact, dreaming is a physiological phenomenon. Whether you have memories of dreams or not, you must dream 4 to 5 times every night. Therefore, it is unrealistic to say that you have dreamed all night or not dreamed, and it is impossible to talk about having more dreams than having less. Studies have shown that there is no inevitable connection between the feeling of dreams and the degree of insomnia. In other words, the presence or absence of a dream and the degree of a dream cannot be used as objective indicators of insomnia or the extent of insomnia. So, why are there any previous complaints? Through investigation and analysis, some scholars believe that it is related to the following factors: (1) Little is known about sleep and the relationship between sleep and dream. (2) It is related to the person's emotional state. (3) Paying too much attention to your own health and your sense of dreams leads to an enhanced sense of dreams. In turn, it aggravates worries about health and fears of insomnia, and even forms a vicious cycle. (4) Dream content is more likely to be recalled during REM sleep and late awakening. (5) Differences in individual functional states. Different individuals have different dream feelings. Even the same individual has different dream feelings in different periods and different functional states. Therefore, some people will feel that they have more dreams at one time and less dreams at another time. In addition, although some people do not have obvious insomnia, they feel weak during the day after dreaming at night. In fact, this is caused by a psychological factor. Dreamers always associate the content of their dreams with the things they are unhappy with, which increases the ideological burden and suppresses their emotions, resulting in various discomfort. Dreams itself have certain benefits to people and sleep. Unless you can't sleep well at night and have obvious sleepiness during the day, which affects your normal work and life, you should see a doctor to find out the reasons and treat them.
