How Hippocrates interpret dreams
Hippocrates was a Greek in the 5th century BC. He was also known as the 'father of medicine'. His medical research was admired by future generations. In addition, he has always been very interested in dreams and often has some discussions. Hippocrates believed that dreams were a precursor, that is,'the first thing', and various diseases of the human body can be reflected in dreams. For example, dreaming of rivers is due to problems with the urinary system. Hippocrates said that when people sleep, their brain is no longer influenced by the outside world, so they can detect small changes in the body and extract information stored in the brain during the day but not valued. Although Hippocrates's theory had a strong sense of science, he still believed that dreams and divine revelation were related, and there was a strong connection between astrology and dreams.
